Host a Session

Worth It Education & Empowerment Program

Worth It is a series of classroom experiences designed for women who have experienced sexual trauma from exploitation, trafficking or prostitution.

Host sites are a key element to the success of each Worth It session. Hosts work closely with Worth It Coordinators to provide a safe space and the volunteers needed to ensure a smooth and effective program.

Host Site Space

Host sites may be a Church, Community Center, Prison, or Rehab Center in or around Bucks, Montgomery and Chester Counties.

Host sites must be located within 25 minutes of women who have experienced human trafficking and/or sexual exploitation. These women may have a history of substance abuse and domestic violence, or may be enrolled in inpatient services at a nearby service provider, shelter or clinic.

Host sites must have a room that can accommodate up to 15 people. This room must also...

  • Have (or be able to fit) tables and chairs for up 15 people

  • Be an appropriate space for serving food and drinks

  • Have the technology to accommodate Zoom, PowerPoint, and Google Drive from a screen, projector or smart board

Host Site Volunteers

Hosts must have one staff person who can serve as a liaison between the host site, volunteers, and Worth It coordinators. He or she will spend several hours over the course of the session...

  • Working with Worth It coordinators on program and volunteer schedules

  • Assisting the Worth It coordinators in accessing the building and setting up the session room

  • Sharing about the services the host site offers with the Worth It participants

  • Identifying and recruiting volunteers

Hosts must be able to provide volunteers who can help...

  • Transport participants to and from the host site (driving or riding with the driver)

  • Plan, prepare and serve meals and snacks for participants

  • Interact with participants with the goal of modeling and building healthy relationships

Host Site Donations

In order to offer Worth It as a free program for survivors in the community, host sites are asked to provide food (breakfast), snacks, treats and graduation gifts for the participants.
